Healthcare payment software provider Waystar has appointed Alpana Wegner as Chief Financial Officer, effective 1 August 2026. The Nasdaq-listed company confirmed that Wegner will oversee its finance organisation as it expands its platform and software capabilities.

Wegner brings more than 25 years of operational and financial leadership experience to the role. Most recently, she served as CFO of global media technology firm Integral Ad Science. Her previous leadership background includes CFO roles at cybersecurity provider Secureworks and software company Benefitfocus, alongside senior financial positions at cloud software provider Blackbaud. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Arizona State University.

She replaces Steve Oreskovich, who is stepping down after serving as CFO for eight years due to personal reasons. Oreskovich will remain with the company in an advisory capacity until 15 June 2027 to support the leadership handover.

Matt Hawkins, Chief Executive Officer of Waystar, said: “Following a robust national search, we are excited to welcome Alpana Wegner to Waystar. Alpana is a proven financial leader growing public technology companies, demonstrating operational excellence and expanding profitability. As we extend the reach of our platform and bring the autonomous revenue cycle to life, she will be an excellent guide for our finance organization with a focus on capitalizing on the significant opportunities ahead.”

Hawkins added: “Steve has served as a trusted partner in driving Waystar’s long-term growth across major financial milestones, including our successful initial public offering. We are grateful he will advise the company during this transition, and we wish him the best in his next chapter.”
