PayTabs Egypt has announced a strategic partnership with Edita Trade, a subsidiary of Edita Food, aimed at improving the way payments and cash collections are handled across Edita’s distribution network in Egypt.
The agreement will see PayTabs Egypt integrate its cash collection solution into Edita’s operations, enabling smoother payment flows between the company’s sales representatives and its end-point distributors. The move is intended to simplify processes and reduce the operational burden associated with traditional cash collection methods.
As part of the partnership, Edita will be connected to a nationwide network of more than 550,000 point-of-sale (POS) machines across Egypt. The network is supported by over four major cash aggregators and is accessed through PayTabs Egypt’s unified platform. This setup allows Edita to collect payments from distributors across the country through a single interface, rather than managing multiple aggregator relationships separately.
According to PayTabs Egypt, the collaboration responds to rising demand for more efficient and flexible payment options in the market. By using a single dashboard, Edita will be able to manage cash collection activities more effectively, gain real-time visibility into transactions and reporting, and improve overall transparency. The integration is also expected to lower costs linked to manual cash handling and support stronger cash flow management.
Haytham Morsy, PayTabs Egypt’s VP of Commercial & Business Development of PayTabs Egypt, said: “We are thrilled to partner with Edita, a renowned leader in the Egyptian packaged snack food Market. This partnership exemplifies PayTabs Egypt’s commitment to providing innovative solutions that empower businesses to thrive in the growing digital economy. This partnership is a testament to our shared vision of fostering innovation and progress in the digital payment ecosystem.”
Commenting on the agreement, Diana Wadid, Group Treasury Senior Director at Edita, said: “We are excited to partner with PayTabs Egypt, as Edita will be the first company in the Egyptian market to benefit from seamless access to such a wide network of POS machines through a single, integrated solution. This collaboration will not only improve efficiency and transparency but also enhance the overall experience for our distributors. By leveraging PayTabs Egypt’s extensive network and innovative technology, we are confident in streamlining our operations and gaining a competitive edge.”
The Edita partnership is the latest addition to PayTabs Egypt’s growing list of collaborations with local and regional brands, including Global Corp, Ship Blu, Azimut, Souhoola and Banque Misr. Through these partnerships, the company continues to expand its footprint across Egypt’s digital payments sector.
