Ovum has selected AKQA Australia as its strategic creative partner as the fem-tech company prepares a major push to increase awareness and adoption of its women’s health app ahead of International Women’s Day 2026. The collaboration aims to accelerate the growth of Ovum’s AI-driven platform, which supports women in better understanding and managing their health.

Founded by former medical doctor Dr Ariella Heffernan-Marks, Ovum uses artificial intelligence to help users track symptoms, monitor cycles, integrate wearable data, and store medical records in one place. The app also builds long-term data sets intended to address the persistent gender health gap by deepening collective insights into women’s health experiences.

With the business pursuing an ambitious expansion plan, Ovum has brought in AKQA Australia to strengthen its market presence and encourage more women to trial the product. The agency will develop creative concepts across digital, PR, and social, with the first phase culminating in a large-scale brand activation aligned with International Women’s Day 2026.

Justine Leong, managing director at AKQA Australia, said the partnership reflects a meaningful shared purpose. She said, “Our partnership with Ovum is deeply aligned with AKQA’s values of empowering women through creativity and innovation.”

“It’s also a powerful moment for our team — led by our chief creative officer Tara McKenty and an incredible group of female creatives — to collaborate on a product that directly advocates for women’s health.

“Ariella and the Ovum team share our appetite for bold, purpose-driven work. Together, we want to evolve a brand that not only grows but reshapes what fem-tech can mean for women everywhere.”

Stefanie DiGianvincenzo, chief marketing officer of Ovum, said the partnership represents a significant milestone in advancing the company’s mission.

Stefanie said, “AKQA’s strategic and creative approach matches our ambition to help women in a way that feels both intelligent and emotional.

“The team understands our purpose — to empower women through data, empathy, and design — and they share our vision to make Ovum a trusted companion in every woman’s health journey.”

AKQA Australia will work closely with Ovum as the fem-tech innovator continues to support women at every stage of their health journey.
