Perelel, the Los Angeles-based supplement company known for its doctor-founded and research-led approach to women’s health, has secured a $27 million growth investment from Prelude Growth Partners. The funding round, announced on 20 November 2025, also included participation from existing backers Unilever Ventures, Willow Growth Partners and Selva Ventures.

The company said the investment marks a key step in its transition from a leading prenatal brand into a broader women’s health business. Perelel plans to use the capital to continue developing clinically supported products designed to meet women’s needs throughout the full span of their hormonal lifecycle.

Co-founders Victoria Thain Gioia, Alex Taylor and Dr. Banafsheh Bayati said they pursued this opportunity to replace the firm’s early angel investors with a long-term capital partner aligned with its next phase of expansion. According to Perelel, Prelude Growth Partners was drawn to the brand’s positioning, its strong research credentials and its business performance. Over the past five years, the company has doubled revenue annually, achieved profitability, retained subscribers at category-leading levels and broadened its range to support women from fertility and pregnancy through to postpartum and perimenopause.

Reflecting on the milestone, Victoria Thain Gioia said: “This moment validates what we’ve built over the past five years: a business that proves women trust and return to brands that invest in clinical rigor and medically backed solutions. As a women-founded firm with deep expertise in scaling consumer health and wellness brands, Prelude Growth understands both our market and our mission. Their proven ability to build category leaders makes them the ideal partner as we evolve beyond pregnancy and postpartum support into a comprehensive women’s health company. We’re so excited to add them to our bench of incredible female board members.”

Co-founder Alex Taylor added: “The women’s health category is at a breaking point with influencer-led brands and unproven product claims. As a doctor-founded brand with a commitment to products backed by clinical rigor and robust research, we’ve built our reputation on a foundation of trust. That trust fuels our community and drives real connection — between us and our customers, and within every woman who chooses us.”

The company said the new funding arrives at a crucial time, as many women seek reliable, evidence-based information amid a landscape of conflicting and often unregulated health claims. Perelel aims to address this by expanding its line of doctor-formulated supplements, all designed with clinically proven ingredients and continuity across different life stages.

Neda Daneshzadeh, Co-Founder and Managing Partner of Prelude Growth Partners, welcomed the partnership, saying: “Perelel’s doctor-founding coupled with its clinical validation and commitment to women’s health research stands out in the category. We are extremely proud to partner with the team to support them in creating a powerhouse brand that is reimagining the future of women’s health.”
