Seyma Bahsi has been appointed as head of Astellas Pharma for Turkey, Middle East, and Africa

Astellas Pharma announced the appointment of Seyma Bahsi as the Area Head for Turkey, the Middle East, and Africa (T-MEA), effective October 1, 2024. In this new position, she will manage operations across 12 markets, reaching a combined population of over 418 million. Additionally, she will maintain her leadership of Astellas Turkey until a new General Manager is appointed.

Seyma will directly report to the President of International Markets and will be located in Istanbul. As part of the International Markets Leadership Team (IMLT), her responsibilities will center on advancing Astellas’ mission to convert groundbreaking scientific advancements into meaningful benefits for patients throughout the T-MEA region.

Seyma has over 23 years of experience in the healthcare industry. She joined Astellas in 2016 as the Sales Director for Turkey and later took on the role of General Manager for Astellas in Singapore and Malaysia, where she drove organizational transformation and achieved notable revenue and profitability growth. In 2023, she returned to Turkey to serve as General Manager. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Management from Marmara University and holds an MBA from Galatasaray University.
