HSBC Life Hong Kong appointed Daisy Tsang as the Chief Executive Officer

HSBC has announced the appointment of Daisy Tsang as the new Chief Executive Officer of HSBC Life Hong Kong, with the position set to take effect on August 1, subject to regulatory approval.

Tsang will manage operations in Hong Kong and Macau, reporting to Edward Moncreiffe, CEO of Global Insurance at HSBC Holdings, and Maggie Ng, General Manager of Wealth and Personal Banking for Hong Kong. Tsang, who has accumulated over two decades of experience at HSBC, is currently the Interim CEO and Chief Distribution and Customer Officer.

She will focus on, The life insurer’s plans to expand strategically in Hong Kong and Macau. Currently, it commands a 26% share of the market for New Business Premiums and 20% in Annualised New Premiums within Hong Kong.

Since 2012, Tsang has served at HSBC Life as the Chief Distribution and Customer Officer. In this role, she spearheaded the revitalization of the Macau distribution division, broadened the broker network and bancassurance approach, and directed efforts in digital transformation.
